Into the dim lit, bare walls of my world,
out of nowhere, you entered
but not only did you enter..……;
you brought me hope
and made me see life from a different perspective
Of wit(intelligence) and charm, of personality,
with tender care, you added comfort, love,
warmth, and meaning to my life
I look upon all these fondly,
then I thought of bringing forth a thankful note
of which you walk in these halls with me;
our friendship has become a part
of my world now; it has its special place
within my being, life, and in my heart,
Your name hangs right beside my smiling face;
remembering just how drab(colorless) these walls had been,
I have to thank you for the light
you’ve shown on my path so far
Our journey couldn’t be bumpy enough
without trying to walk it in the dark
When this cold, hard world left me lonesome and blue
you were around to rescue me;
you took me by my hand and led me home
and no matter the miles that keep us apart
one thing I know for sure is that;
we’ll always be together in each other’s hearts
Sometimes, I get so caught up in life
to the extent that, I do forget to stop by and say Hi
If you ever felt I forgot or didn't care about u;
please let me stop right here, I mean this very moment
to share my gratitude.
I may not remember everything you’ve done for me
but I will definitely remember how special you make me feel
To me, no duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.
